Mrs. Balentine
was raised in the Wasco area. After
attending local schools, she worked at Wasco High as
the Registration Clerk and the Activities /
Athletics Secretary. She presently teaches English
classes. She received an Associate of Arts Degree in
History from Bakersfield College, a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in History from CSU Bakersfield, and a Master
of Arts Degree in Reading from CSUB. Mrs. Balentine enjoys spending time with family and
friends, reading, cooking, and sewing. |

Mr. Bellis
received an Associate of Arts Degree in Business
Administration from Olive-Harvey College of Chicago
before going on to graduate from Columbia College of
Chicago where he received his Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Radio and Music Marketing. After ten years
of service in that industry, Mr. Bellis relocated to
California and continued his education at CSU
Bakersfield where he received his teaching

English. Mr. Bellis is a member of the International
English Honors Society of Sigma Tau Delta and
currently holds his Master of Arts Degree in
Curriculum and Instruction and is pursuing his
Masters of Science in Educational Counseling. |

Coral Ceiley-Jackson

Coral Ceiley was born in Burbank,
California. She came to the Bakersfield area as a
teenager and lived on her parent’s farm near
Greenfield. After having two children, Coral went
back to school graduating from Modesto Junior
College in 1996. In 1998 she graduated from Cal
State Bakersfield with a degree in English
Literature. She began her teaching career here at
Wasco High School and went on to teach middle school
for seven years where she not only taught English,
but also journalism and video |

production. In
2008 Coral Jackson returned to Wasco High School to
continue her career as a high school English
instructor. |

After graduating from Wasco High
in 1998, Mrs. Wedel went on to Long Beach State
where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in
English Education. She then attended CSU Bakersfield
where she received her Professional Clear Teaching
Credential in English. She has been teaching at
Wasco High School since 2003 and looks forward to
many more years here. Mrs. Wedel enjoys spending
time with her husband, Nick, and their sons, Braedon
and Brody.
