AP Tests

The primary purpose of the California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE) is to significantly improve pupil achievement in public high schools and to ensure that pupils who graduate from public high schools can demonstrate grade level competency in reading, writing, and mathematics.

The 10th Grade CAHSEE Census test is a key component in the calculation of our school’s API.  It bears as much weight as the ELA CST’s.

Grade twelve students who do not pass both parts of the CAHSEE by the end of their senior year are encouraged to re-enroll in high school for the next school year, enroll in our school district’s adult education program for the next school year, or enroll in our school district’s independent study program for the next school year.  Grade 12 / Adult students can take the CAHSEE up to three times per school year.
