Mr. Derrick is originally from Hawley, Pennsylvania and graduated from Wallenpaupack Area High School in 2000. He then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania for a year before taking a year off to live in New York City. Mr. Derrick returned to college at West Chester University of Pennsylvania where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus in Health and Physical Education. He moved to California

in August of 2006 where he taught at Arvin High for 2 years and left to become a Wasco Tiger in 2008. He has continued his post Bachelor classes at University of San Diego, Cal State Bakersfield, and Cal Poly. He coaches football, basketball, and baseball, as well as the class advisor to the class or 2012. His hobbies include camping, hiking, snowboarding, and riding his motorcycle.

Joe Hively

Mr. Hively was born and raised in Wasco and graduated from Wasco High School in 1971. He attended Bakersfield College for two years before earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Fresno State University. He has completed post graduate work at California State University, Bakersfield and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Mr. Hively loves to fish, play tennis, and spend time with his family.

Mr. MacLean graduated from California State University Bakersfield where he also completed the teacher credential program for Special Education.  Mr. MacLean also holds a clear credential for Health Science and a preliminary teaching credential for English.  Prior to completing his education, Mr. MacLean was in the United States Marine Corps where he served in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm.  Mr. MacLean coaches football

and track at Wasco High School and enjoys sailing, surfing, and hanging out on the beach with his wife and their two children when he’s not teaching.
