future post-education career opportunities might be available to students.  The common thread for each TLT session is its focus on ethics and leadership.

Modeled after other successful youth leadership programs, Wasco’s TLT program encourages participants to continually ask the questions:  “Where do I fit in the community?” and “Why should I care?”

Program graduates are encouraged to become involved in the community and to serve as mentors for incoming TLT participants. The TLT program is funded through tax deductible charitable contributions to the Wasco Rotary Club.  The program is also sponsored by the Wasco Union High School District and the North Kern Vocational Training Center.
